Nobuta wo Produce = COMPLETE!

Meeeeeeehhhhhhh the ending of Nobuta made me sad. In a good way, but sad nonetheless. WHY NOBUTA?! WHHHHY?!

I have like, a thousand good pictures I want to spam at some point, but not right now. Most (I'd say 80%) of them are of Yamapi, whom I adore, and find mind-blowingly attractive. The rest are plotty, but not by much.

Though the ending, with the Santa suits reminded me too much of Bya, and then I got got remembering how THAT ended, and it was just a cascade of drama sadness. I miss Byakuyako. I want to rewatch it, but that would just succeed in making me sadder.

I ship Akira and Nobuta so hard (dear God help me, but I've read Yamapi/Maki RP-fic...), but really, the characters are best together.


My next drama... well, I'll let you know when I decide. I know what it's going to be between though. And I'm still waiting on non-streaming subs for Easy Fortune Happy Life... And I'm still slowly watching True Love 18 (only 3 episodes have been released), and still love it. Ah, older twdramas, how I love you. And the fact that it stars two of my favorite Taiwanese actors (Ariel Lin and Joseph Chang) helps! ;D I watch it on my ipod, so I don't have caps, but it's a sweet drama, with just enough edge to keep it going (prostitution, teacher/student relationships, abusive alcoholic parents, ETC).

I need to overhaul my icons.

I was the same, I started out liking Shuji/Nobuta and then decided that Akira/Nobuta just made more sense. I'm pretty sure I recced a couple of Nobuta fics at my rec comm, but it seems like they're all gen. :/ Here if you want them!

And I've decided that your next drama should be Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. I was cleaning up my folder of screencaps and found about 20349829034 of Mamoru's crappy getaway scenes and you need that and some plushie!Luna in your life.

I was totally the same. Episodes 1-3 I was totally shipping Shuji and Nobuta, and then Akira fell in love with Nobuta, and I jumped ships. YAY! I'm overall a shippy person, but with this fandom I find myself enjoying gen fic as much as ship fic. Thanks for the link!! *goes off to read*

HAHAHA!!! I keep wanting to see Mamoru's crappy getaway scenes! (I'll let you in on a secret... my new drama is actually going to be my next DRAMAS... I'm watching multiples, so I might have to include PGSM in that collection...)

Even though Yamapi does nothing for me on a physical level, I do admit that he was awesome in Nobuta. I think I need to see it again - I can't actually remember any of it apart from the time they dressed in those awful clothes, and I thought at the time, "Oh, so they just brought in some of their own concert gear" because ewwwwwwww JE concert clothes.

Oh man, there's a getaway scene in the FIRST EPISODE. And they just keep getting better. There's something compelling about the way he just strides off down the streets of Tokyo, his cape billowing in the wind. (See what I did there, I played on your cape fetish, YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT NOW!) And the best thing about PGSM is that each ep is ~20 mins, so you can watch one while you're snacking or waiting for someone or painting your toenails or whatever. It's perfect for watching in conjunction with other things. :D

It's really funny, how Yamapi does nothing for you, and Kame does nothing for me... Otherwise our taste in hot guys seems to be quite similar (I will back you on the Ming Dao hotness FOR ETERNITY, despite like, no one else in LJ-land finding him hot).

Nice to see I'm not alone in my utter insanity! The worst part is that this is not the first RP fic I've read in the name of character shipping. I've read Nicole Kidman/Ewan McGregor (Moulin Rouge), Kate Winslet/Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic), and Johnny Depp/Keira Knightley (PotC), to name a few.

Obviously something is messed up inside my head.

I know RP fic is rampant in boyband fandoms, but since I was never IN boyband fandoms (until recently) I was always ashamed of it too!

I mean, here they usually only do it for boybands, but it seems like in Asia (especially Taiwan) they ship random people together CONSTANTLY.

I don't know. It seems like every time you turn on the tv or read a magazine in the US, there's speculation about what star is canoodling (I seriously hate that word) with what other star. I tell you, THAT'S SHIPPING. All they need to do now is start posting RPF of Brangelina in US weekly and it'll be like LJ in magazine form.

I was hoping for the same. Of course I knew beforehand that they wouldn't end up together, but still!

I laughed SO HARD at the playing-in-the-ocean ending! It was just so random! It's okay though... in my head Akira and Nobuta are together (and so are Shuji and Mariko), and everyone is happy!
