uisceros: (OMG Wu Zun + Cat = AWESOME)

I'm thinking I need to go back on meds. Long story.

I downloaded Sims 3 the other day, and I'm having a hell of a time with it. It's a lot different than Sims 2 code-wise, so modding is very hard (I can't figure it out). So now I'm downloading Sims 2 (I don't actually know why, I have it on disc somewhere), because I miss it! But I lost all my custom content somewhere, so I'll have to download it all again (and I paid for some of it). *sigh* Oddly stuff like this makes me neurotic.

I also just finished 30 Rock. Finally. OMG I have so much love for that show, and it's coming out in strange ways. I had a dream the other night that was essentially LOST, but from Liz Lemon's point of view, which was entirely a bit too odd. Also awesome.

I went to Chinatown for the parade yesterday, and it was fun (and cooooooooold), and I have pictures on my phone I might post later (if I remember to upload them). I didn't buy anything, because all the stores there apparently suck. I suppose it's just because they can't compare to the diversity of awesome Chinese stores in Taiwan. Kinda like how cafes can never really compare to the ones in France.

I've been thinking a LOT about going back to Taiwan. I do love it here, but that's kind of hard to remember right now due to all the winter. I know I'm idealizing Taiwan. I had a lot of trouble there (communication problems, food problems, everything always being goddamn moist, no clothes dryer, an interesting hot water situation, having to be careful of the tap water, the smell, the spitting, the people always staring at me...), but I also had a lot of fun. Eh, can't think anymore.

*exhausted*

I would really like to check out Sims 3 but there is no way my current computer could handle it.

I'm surprised mine did! Usually when I get games, they're never compatible with my video card. Incidentally that is why I just don't generally get into gaming. It seems like you need a new video or sound card with every new release!

But as far as the Sims 3 is concerned, I haven't really played it yet, but it seems pretty cool. I wouldn't say it's as groundbreaking as Sims 2 was though (as compared to Sims 1).

hello! i lived in japan for a couple of years a while back, and all my memories are pretty much surrounded by golden halos. if i think objectively about it, i know it wasn't completely a walk through the park. japan had it's fair share of weirdos tossed in with the fun.. it's just hard to remember the bad stuff.

can i friend you, btw? :)

I always do that to places I loved! I remember when I backpacked Europe with one of my friends, I talked up Munich so much she was kinda disappointed when we got there. It IS hard to remember bad stuff. And even if I do focus on the bad parts (like being followed by a creepy older man in Munich), the good parts still far outweigh the bad.

Of course! I'll friend you back!
