(no subject)

I managed to find Summer's Tail in DDL!! It's on rapidshare, so it's taking forever (I subscribe to megupload, but not rapidshare, that would be a bit much). But yay! I managed to find it!

I also downloaded Meteor Rain, and Waterboys.

And I'm going to download Densha Otoko (the drama, not the movie, although it was the movie I wanted). SHUUUUUNNNNN-KUUUNNN! It's been a long while since I've seen a drama with Shun (last was Gokusen, back in December). I was getting Shun withdrawl!

In related news, I'm really fucking pissed at avistaz. I JUST found the damn site, and they have a lot of Asian movies (which are, apparently my new thing), but they've closed down registration, so basically they're tempting me with their movies, and then being like "Oh no, you can look at them, but you can't download them!"... I think I know what a dude at a strip club feels like...

When listening to the English version of Lies (거짓말), I ALWAYS sing the chorus in Korean... When I listen to Last Farewell (마지막 인사), I always sing it in English. Way to confuse the hell out of me, Big Bang.

ETA: Three and a half hours later, Summer's Tail is finally finished. Goddamn rapidshare.

Oguri Shun??? I just got readdicted to him through Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e! (only other thing I've seen him in is HyD 1 & 2) Any other dramas of his you'd recommend?

God, how I love Big Bang.

The first drama I ever watched was HYD, and from like, the first episode, I was totally and completely in love with him.

I'd definitely rec Gokusen, it's REALLY good (I didn't think I was going to like it at first, but it proved me wrong). I've heard Binbo Danshi is good too, but I haven't watched it yet.

I'm pretty new to Big Bang, but I'm soooo in love with them (which makes me feel kinda pervy, because I'm 4-7 years older than them)...

aww! it's okay, half the Asian world from age 16-up is in love with them; I discovered them about a year ago with their MV Haru Haru and fell with a crash that could be heard for a hundred miles..especially for G-Dragon. My favorite songs of theirs are Haru Haru(I've memorized the lyrics, and I don't even speak Korean) and Sorry but I love you. They're all UBER-pretty, uber-charismatic, and uber-talented..it's almost not fair.

okay...I'll have to watch Gokusen(only it doesn't have any romance, does it? *sigh*)

It's funny, I was NEVER into American boybands in the 90's (when I was correct age for boyband insanity), so I'm continually amused that I would love Asian boy bands so much. I have to say, as much as I love Fahrenheit and F4, Big Bang are my favorite ever. I think GD is my favorite too, but I really like TOP too... I think my favorites currently (they change, week to week) are Baby Baby, Always, and Number 1. (I've memorized some parts of Lies in Korean!) It isn't fair, why must they be so awesome?!

It doesn't have romance per se, but there is a LOT of opportunity for shipping. And according to the manga, the shin/yankumi ship is canon. So yeaah. But give it a shot, I usually don't watch/read ANYTHING unless it has romance, but I highly enjoyed Gokusen.

yeah, me either, I wasn't even living in the US during the 90s so I totally missed that craze, which is why I was really surprised at myself for falling so crazyfangirl in love with Korean boybands. I love Fahrenheit too:)and F4 is always love, although they've been really quiet lately(I kept hearing rumours they disbanded, is that true?)
have you heard/tried FT Island? I'm also trying out SS501 now that I know that Boys Over Flowers guy is in it...

and okay. I'll have to watch it then.

Be thankful you missed it. I think I'll be forever scarred by the catchy beats, screaming girls, and all the denim of MTV/VH1 in the 90's (Yes, I watched a lot of MTV then, I might have been anti-boyband, but I was still a teenage girl!).

F4 are always kinda in the air. Since they all have a lot of solo projects going on, they don't get together to make music all that much. I doubt they'll ever break up (they're really tight, as far as I can tell), but I think they'll probably always focus more on individual stuff. I remember when they did the Japan tour, everyone was speculating a break up, but it hasn't happened yet.

No, I haven't! I might want to check them out (but oh wow, they're young...). I just told someone the other day that I was going to have to get into SS501 too (also because of Kim Hyun Joong)! That boy is so beautiful, I think even if their music sucked, I'd probably still listen to it. I've been thinking about trying Lollipop (Bang Bang Tang) too. They're popular enough in Taiwan, and I don't want to get behind the ball on Taiwan pop culture.

Yay! Let me know what you think!
