It's 2am and I'm bored, so NATURALLY, I decided to post my skin care regimen. I've seen a few other people do this recently, and since other people's have helped me in the past (how I discovered Mario Badescu), I figured why not.

This... is MOSTLY everything. I have an embarrassing amount of other stuff, but this is the stuff I'm currently using.

My skincare can easily be divided into two separate but equally important factions - acne prevention, and anti-aging. MOST of the time, when my skin isn't being an asshole, anti-aging is the priority. But when my skin decides to freak out, that falls to the wayside while I figure out how to calm my skin. Right now I'm in between - thus why I'm using SO MUCH.

1. Philosophy The Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Retinoid Pads - I've started using heavy duty retinoids on my face to prevent skin aging. I like these pads. They make my skin tingle slightly, which makes me think it's working... I use this at night after cleansing on my face, neck, and the backs of my hands. I pay particular attention to under my eyes and my nasolabial folds.

2. Philosophy The Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer - I LOVE THIS MOISTURIZER SO FUCKING MUCH. Like, seriously. I love it. It has a gel like consistency, which I adore. I have oily skin, and heavy moisturizers just make me skin feel gross. This one is amazing. It's so lightweight, but it WORKS. My skin always feels amazing in the morning after I used it. This is my night moisturizer. I use it on my face and neck, including my eye area.

3. Philosophy The Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Concentrate - This is a nice anti-aging serum that I use at night, post retinoid pads, and before moisturizer. It basically works to promote collagen. I only use this on my face.

4. Philosophy Hope Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 30 - This is my daytime moisturizer. There are two things I absolutely require from a daytime moisturizer; lightweight feel and some form of SPF. This fits the bill. I actually don't like this one as much as I liked my old moisturizer (this one), but it's good enough. I use this daily in the morning on my face and neck.

5. Philosophy When Hope Is Not Enough Hyaluronic Acid & Peptide Capsules (pink), and Booster Caps Retinol & Dermochlorella Capsules (green) - Whenever I'm in Sephora, I try to grab one of these from the tester bottle. These are little capsules that act as a skin booster whenever you're skin is not so great. They are not for everyday use. I break mine open and mix them with my moisturizer for the day.

6. Oil of Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths Sensitive - These are what I have right now. Actually, ANY makeup removing cloth will do for me. Usually I buy generics, but recently I've had some issues with the skin on my eyes being super sensitive. And since 75% of my makeup is on my eyes, I decided to spring for the sensitive skin ones. So far so good. I use these USUALLY at night, but if I'm too lazy to take my makeup off at night, I use them in the morning prior to putting on moisturizer.

7. Philosophy The Oxygen Peel (two bottles) - I'm not too sure about this stuff. It's supposed to help boost your skin and detox it. I bought it because my skin's been shitty lately, but I don't know if it works yet. The jury is still out of this one.

8. Philosophy On a Clear Day Blemish Serum for Adult Acne - This stuff... it's SO GOOD, but at the same time, SO BAD. Oh, it gets rid of breakouts. But it also kinda eats away at my skin (it's hard to explain...). I probably use too much of it... Either way, I adore it, but sadly it's not manufactured anymore.

9. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - I've only been using this for less than a week, but OMG GUYS I LOVE IT. It really does help breakouts, which is very nice. And it doesn't BURN LIKE HELL like the Philosophy Blemish Serum does (only if you put it on irritated skin). So yay on both accounts. I do wish it was easier to apply though.

10. Mario Badescu Special Cleansing Lotion "C" - This is a toner. And yes, it's really bright yellow. Like, panther piss yellow. It's supposed to be "for aggressive treatment of acne", which is nice. I haven't been using it long enough to know yet though...

11. ROC Deep Wrinkle Night Cream - Another retinoid! I use this one for specific areas - under eyes, forehead, nasolabial folds, around the mouth, and marionette lines. I use this at night, over all my other treatments. It's the last step for me.

12. Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser - This is a gentle cleanser I use on my face. Recently I've been using more aggressive cleansers, but I occasionally still use this one when I feel my skin needs a break.

13. Apricot Facial Scrub - Generic St. Ives. This one is Target brand. Whatever, they all do the same thing. I use this one in conjunction with my regular cleansers. My skin has a tendency to get clogged really easily, so a face scrub is a necessity for me.

14. Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing Foam - This stuff. I LOVE IT. This is actually the trial sample I got when I was in Korea. I loved it so much that I went out and bought the full size bottle. It REALLY foams. I don't like cleansers that don't foam. I know foaming stuff is more drying, but honestly, I NEED the drying. I adore this stuff so much.

15. Mario Badescu Special Healing Powder - This is a green-toned powder that you put on areas that need healing. It had sulfur in it, which helps disinfect and heal while also controlling oil and hiding redness (and no, it doesn't stink). The bottle says to use it sparingly. I'm not sure why yet, but whatever, I'll listen. I've not used it enough to have a clear opinion yet, but so far it's okay.

Soooo yeah. That's it :)

Oh yeah! Almost forgot... My NUMBER ONE skin treatment is an oral antibiotic. I take one daily. If I don't, things go to hell. Seriously. I need that shit to survive.
