Sometimes I forget just how gorgeous Da S is... and then I see something like this, and I am quite intensely reminded.

But yes, this movie has EVERYTHING. I'm not finished with it yet, so I'm not going to say anymore. But OMG I'm only halfway through the movie, and I have a little under 200 caps...

I'm at home sick today (I've had a headache for three damn days... it's terribly annoying), so I might actually get some stuff that I've been putting off done.

I finished My So Called Love, and I took 403 screenshots, which is RIDICULOUS, and means I somehow have to get through all of them, and find the meaningful ones.

I didn't love the movie. It was disjointed. VERY disjointed. But it was enjoyable enough. But what drew me in, the reason I have 400 screenshots is that it was REALLY pretty. The cinematography was lovely, but in a different way than I'm used to. The cinematographer focused on close up shots in this film, which was smart. It showed the intimacy of the situations. Plus, all of the actors were incredibly good looking. The close ups just really accentuated this.

Anyway, I'm doing a full post but holy shit 400 caps!...

My So Called Love: REVIEW. With LOTS of caps. Seriously. Lots.

Okay, so the My So Called Love post...

Like I said before, this was an enjoyable movie, if only for the pretty. The plot confused me. If I haven't read plot synopsis' prior to watching I would have been totally lost. But Da S was beautiful, Joseph and Eddie were REALLY hot, and the shots were well executed.

As we all know, I have mixed feelings about Da S (I like her, but I don't love her). That being said, I was transfixed by her in this movie. Most of my caps are of her, because she was just so gorgeous in this. I also capped Joseph a lot, because he's REALLY hot.

Anyway, the story starts with a dream... )

I liked this movie for one major reason (beside the intense prettiness). That being that love isn't always conventional. Xiao Mao was in love with all three men, they were all different to her. I think the truest love she had was with Ah Liang, who knew her the best. With Xiao Gu is was a passionate physical love, but love nonetheless. With Sunshine it was innocent, and new. In the end, however, she chose the love that had been with her from the beginning.

Anyway, I'd rec this movie, but be aware that it really is quite disjointed. I got confused a lot, and some scenarios seemed REALLY abrupt. But whatever. It was really pretty, and sweet.

Apparently there were some pretty risque sex scenes that were cut (btw, the images in that article, totally NOT in the movie, so don't get your hopes up for a bloody Barbie and Easton in bed). I wonder if they're doing to release a director's cut of this...

OMG I finally got the first of my YesAsia packages!!

Package 1 -> Fahrenheit's new (well, new in January) album, Love You More and More, which I reviewed here, on the day it came out (obsessed much, eh Meredith?).

So naturally, when I got it today, I kinda flipped out a bit, and took pictures of EVERYTHING.

PICTURES!! )

Excuse the fangirling. Fahrenheit are my boyband (well, so are Big Bang... it's a tie), so I tend to flip out a little about them (I blame my insanity on the fact that I never got into American boybands when I was a teenager. I've been storing my fangirling up... plus, they're Taiwanese, and I'm already batshit crazy over anything Taiwanese).

My next package -> Big Bang's The Great concert DVD (with a photobook!!). Should be coming tomorrow.

God knows when I'm getting my posters, or my Big Bang CD/Eternal Summer DVD.

Oh, I almost forgot! With my purchase of two Japanese items from YesAsia (ironically, they were both Big Bang items, and, you know, Big Bang are Korean), I got a "free Japanese mini". I chose this guy.

I've never used cell phone charms before, but he was so cute! I also wasn't even sure my phone could accomidate one (I have a Motorola RIZR, and while there looked like a place to loop something in, I could never get anything in it).

But, I figured it out today, and now I have a cute little charm! I got one of the more boring ones, but it's red, and red is my favoritest color, so yay!

See!

(Yes, that's Zai Zai on my wallpaper... And my ring tone is a song by 5566. My phone is Taiwanese-ified.)

Now that I know I can have charms, I need MOOORE!

(Btw, Lisa, can you figure out what his Japanese says? It looks like katakana...)

Um, Fahrenheit, wtf are you wearing?!

In case you can't quite see; Wu Zun is wearing a shiny gold shirt with, what looks like black knit ARM WARMERS, and a rhinestoned tie. Jiro's in a large black faux fur jacket with shiny silver pants, and ONE black glove. Calvin's wearing some sort of black poncho with gold horses on it... And yes, that is a car hanging above them. (I read somewhere that they got massive insurance before filming this) Aaron is the only one dressed somewhat normally. I'm all for fashion risks, but why so much shiny Fahrenheit?

Oh!!! And anyone who love Jiro is going to love me for this (if they haven't seen it already)!

It's a good MV, and a great song, so I'd rec watching the whole thing. BUT the action begins at ~2:04, in-so-where Jiro is angsty, half naked, and WET.

I wonder if Wu Zun can actually play the drums...

'Nother Meme

I partook in [livejournal.com profile] princess_dexter's meme;
"Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given."

What I am associated with;

1. Taiwan! You love it more than anyone else I know, so tell us all about it!
2. Makeup - talk about your favourite brands.
3. Music - favourite styles, artists.
4. Anime (I didn't know you liked anime as well!)
5. Liveblogging - I can only do it the second time I watch something, so I'm interested in how you go about doing so the first time.

Elaborations! )

Um, if you want, you can ask me for things I associated you with, but it'll probably take awhile for me to get them. I still haven't done Lisa's interview questions (it's HARD to think of questions for you! But I'll do it, I promise!)
