Chen Qiao En, #1 girlcrush

So suddenly, while watching Green Forest, I felt the urge to do a picspam.

This is actually a mini picspam. I'm working on a huge one, but I'm PRETTY sure I'm getting sick (which never happens, I have a ninja immune system), so it's a mini picspam for now.

This is Chen Qiao En. The best, most awesome, sweetest, prettiest girl in the world. I have a major girlcrush on her. If I were a guy (or gay) I'd be so totally in love and want to marry her. As it is, I want to be her best friend. She's just so amazing. Thing about Qiao En is, she knows sex sells. And does she sell it. She did a shoot for GQ, and those pictures were quite risque (for Taiwan).

But I think the most amazing thing about Qiao En is that she isn't afraid to talk about her inadequacies. She discusses how she became depressed and an alcoholic. She talks about her disappointment in the industry. She's strong that way. She also has a blog (that I visit often, actually) where she posts lots of pictures of her adorable scottish fold cat that she takes everywhere.

So; her personality is great, she's gorgeous, she loves animals, is a good actress, has a lovely voice, writes books, and is modest about her success. Did I mention she's nearly 30? And she looks like a teenager... I would hate her if I didn't love her so much.

Also, wanna see the cutest thing ever? I was browsing Qiao En's blog, as I haven't been there in a few weeks, and saw the most adorable photo ever (second to last picture). Yes, it's Ming Dao holding a baaaaby!! I'm almost positive this is Zax Wang's wedding. (Oh, and warning; don't repost any of Qiao En's pictures. She'll close down her blog)

Yeah. Definitely getting sick. Lovely.

It's also freaking snowing. I'm SO SICK of snow. I know it's good though. A large snowpack in the mountains means less chance of periodic droughts in the summer. And less summer droughts mean a chance of a better foliage season. And lets be honest, the foliage is the real reason to live in New England. Still, it's Goddamn annoying.

And because I'm antsy, but my brain isn't working well enough to really follow a drama right now, I'm going to do a mini picspam for Green Forest. Without much explanation. But whatever.

The high point of Green Forest for me is Ethan Ruan (though I AM enjoying Esther Liu as Sophie). I know a lot of people dislike him because of his character in Fated to Love You. And yes, Cun Xi was an asshole. I still loved him, because I fall for those type of characters easily. But regardless, in Green Forest he's the 'other guy', which means I love him even more. He's ridiculously charming in the role, plays violin, and speaks english. It's pretty awesome. Plus, there's a rain scene in the second episode, and he's wet. It's nice...

Summer's Tail; a lovely look into adolescent life

I adored Summer's Tail. It had a slow languorous pace, but still managed to be frantic when it needed to be. It had beautiful music. The characters were great; I cared for each and every one of them. It was a great movie, not in the same way Eternal Summer is, but lovely nonetheless.

I'm (probably) going to write a full review at some point. But not right now. Still feel crappy. I took ~120 screencaps. Most of them of Rui Jia, who I love EVEN MORE now. He's quickly moving up my list of hot guys I'm in love with. I knew he was special when I saw him in Love Contract.

Apparently I REALLY like Taiwanese movies. Every single one I've seen I've loved. I think Eternal Summer has to be one of my favorite movies OF ALL TIME, and I've seen a lot of movies. It's that good (I totally rewatched it today).

Summer's Tail was filmed in Tainan. I was never really interested in going to Tainan in particular, but this film really showed the beauty of the county.

I just randomly stumbled upon the official Love Contract site. Xiao Feng was supposed to be 21, and Ah Ken was supposed to be 23. Ariel Lin WAS 21 at the time. Mike was 20... He sure didn't look 23.... Rui Jia was 19, he was supposed to be 21. Conversely Lin Yi Hong was 24, playing 21.

Ages interest me...
