Jul. 21st, 2009 12:41 pmNote to anyone that has cats:
Think twice before giving them a pain reliever Metacam. Not every cat has a reaction, but if it does happen, it's severe.
Remember how I was talking about my cat with the kidney failure? It turns out that he went into acute renal failure due to taking Metacam after he had dental surgery. He's currently at the vet on IV fluids, and will be for another 3 days. Luckily our vet offered to pay the cost due to his mistake, but if he hadn't, it would have cost us $1500 - $3200.
I'm very hopeful about my cat, but at the same time, the acut renal failure he suffered due to the Metacam ill probably have damaged his kidney's more. Since he was only in the very beginning stages of renal failure, he still had a good prognosis. Now with this damage, who knows where he'll be.
IN OTHER, LESS DEPRESSING NEWS
I'm really excited to watch the next few episodes of Triple, as well as the next episode of Buzzer Beat! In the meantime though, I'm not watching anything, and it's weird...
