May. 11th, 2010 02:10 amI hate rich people.
Most of the time I'm cool being middle class. I spend most of my money on travel. I'm okay with that. I'd rather have amazing experiences than a silk dress.
However then I read about people staying in these amazingly luxurious hotel suites (I've never in my life wanted to go to Minneapolis, but suddenly now I do), or buying expensive jewelry (these earrings make me want to cry), or owning designer shoes/bags (I am spectacularly in love with these, not that I'd ever be able to wear them... And have I ever mentioned how I'm essentially obsessed with Grace Kelly and anything to do with her?), and I just want to strangle them.
I'll never be rich, it's just not in the cards for me (I'm a scientist, we don't make the big bucks). Maybe I'll marry a rich guy... (I hate saying that because hello, feminism. But I have to admit, if I do get married, I hope he's rich...)
