I knew this was going to happen; I'm completely and utterly in love with Meteor Garden. It's like, everything I loved so much about the Japanese version, but with all of my favorite Taiwanese stuff mixed in too!! It's like, the BEST thing ever! Makes me want to watch the Taiwanese Hana Kimi because I'm sure it'll be just as awesome!! (I don't like MG better than HYD, just about the same!)
Also, I had to watch this PBS documentary for my class, and it's actually pretty damn interesting, about the spread of AIDS. I never knew it affected the hemophiliac community as much as it did (though I makes sense). It's kinda exciting, tracking the spreads of these massive pandemics.
Randomness from MG: In one episode, there's a foreigner (Who is also named Thomas!... except in MG he's actually white). Anyway, the dude who plays him is cute! And he speaks REALLY good Mandarin. And German... and then Jerry Yan started speaking German, and it was sooooo hilarious, since the pronounciation was all off! Oh well! Germanic languages seem to be difficult to learn the correct pronounciation for Chinese speakers. Jerry also spoke in Italian and French.
And one of the other guys in the F4 was born in the US, and occasionally speaks english. It's super funny to be watching a show where they're all speaking Chinese, and then there's random PERFECT unaccented english from one of the dudes who a minute ago was speaking Chinese. I'm used in english in dramas, but never GREAT english.
