Okay, I have internet now.
So... bullets.
- I drugged myself on the plane so that I would sleep. The first flight I slept almost the whole way (7 hours), the second flight I slept about half of it (flight was 13 hours long).
- If you ever want to sleep on a plane, take two Dramamine and some Ativan. It works.
- I have a strange love for airplane food. I don't know why, but I do. Maybe it's because I have no choice in the matter, but I always eat it, and enjoy it. (Except if it's things I obviously don't like, like bananas, or melons, or asparagus)
- If you hate waiting for meals on a plane, order a special meal. I'm vegetarian so I have no order my meals special, and they almost always give you you're meal first. It's nice.
- American airplanes are a LOT less spacious than Asian airplanes. You'd think it would be the opposite.
- The Seoul airport is pretty. And BIG. I got asked if I wanted a taxi only once, and they didn't even follow me afterwards! (Taiwanese taxi drivers are really REALLY tenacious... I got used to it)
- I actually managed to buy some inari sushi at a Family Mart at the airport (I also bought some peach 2% with GD and Baby on the bottle)! It wasn't as good as the inari in Taiwan. Neither was the Japanese inari, for that matter...
- The airport buses will never ever make sense to me. The website gives a route, there's a route posted outside, and YET, when I was on it, they didn't announce the place I was supposed to get off. So I got off at the next stop, and took a taxi. For $3... not bad.
- I hate buses of every kind.
- My hotel room is nice. Not as nice at the hotel in Taiwan was, but nice none the less. At first I was in a double bed room, but since that room didn't have internet, they moved me, and now I'm in a room with two beds. One is strangely bigger than the other. The guy at the desk speaks english, and is super nice though, so yay. No free breakfast though. Oh well. That's what Fami is for!
- The hotel has HEAT. OMG heat, I love you heat.
- I can't figure out where the subway station is, because for some reason, it's not on google maps. It's a new station, but still, wtf google?! WTF?
- I caught a tiny bit of Boys Before Flowers last night on TV while flipping channels. It was weird.
- Now I have to figure out how to leave this place. Once I get to a subway I'll be perfectly fine. The problem is, as stated above, finding the subway.
- I am continually pissed that my phone doesn't work in Korea. Or Japan. It works fine in Taiwan though. Wtf?
- It's only 11am, and the show starts at 8pm. It's probably too early to go for goods. Oh! Speaking of which, I added it all up, and the goods will be less than I thought they would! Yay!
- My hotel room has a blowdryer. That's exciting. I never used to blowdry my hair until I dyed it. Not it just looks better when I blowdry because of all the different colors and stuff)
- Manicure is still holding out. It's chippy, but not bad.
- I think I'm going to go outside for awhile now, and find a Fami. And maybe the subway!
- I'm excited, but also kinda terrified. Traveling alone is scary!
