Fandom Associated Songs

I have this weird thing, where I tend to associate most things with sounds and/or music. This is especially prevalant with fandom. The weird thing, half the time the music I associate with something is completely unrelated to the thing itself. Like, normally you'd associate a drama with the music in it's OST. I'm talking about associating a song that has absolutely not ties to the drama itself.

My Examples;

Silverchair's "If You Keep Losing Sleep" with "Tin Man".
I think I must have been listening to Young Modern a LOT while reading Tin Man fic.

Goo Goo Doll's "Long Way Down" with "Animorphs".
This is a weird one. Animorphs was one of my first big fandoms, and I loved Goo Goo Dolls back in the day. Somehow the paths got crossed, and bam.

Sugarcult's "Pretty Girl" with "Alias"
This one is due to a fanfic... And then I became slightly obsessed with the song, and yeaaah.

Three Days Grace's "I Hate Everything About You" with "Harry Potter"
This is specifically Draco/Hermione. I blame a fanvid for this one. It was a stupid fanvid. But to this day, this song reminds me of the ship.

This has nothing to do with anything (the song reminds me of something, but I don't know what (other than Star Wars - all disco reminds me of Star Wars... long story). But I was watching it, and was like "...is that Josh Duhamel?!". Yes, yes it is.

I'm sure there's a buttload more, but that's all I can remember at the current time.

My Question, do you have any random music that reminds you of a fandom?

I associate Sakamoto Maaya's song "birds" (here) with the manga X. I was listening to her a lot when reading the manga, but also one of the characters is named Kotori, which means "little/young bird." Every time I listen to the song, I want to reread the manga. Like now....

That's the only association I can think of though!

It's weird, I love Sakamoto Maaya's song from Escaflowne, but for some reason, never listened to any of her other songs. I must remedy this...
That's cool, it's like an association on both fronts!

I think my strongest association is with the Silverchair song. Probably because I listen to that one the most. But like, every time I hear it I yearn to read Tin Man fanfic.

This happens to me all the time! I'll hear a song and mentally slate it a fandom, or I'll be listening to something as I'm making a picspam and then I associate the music with the drama forever.

I also have a bad habit of thinking "that would make a great vid for X!" but then I never get around to it. >____>

Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one it happens to constantly. Makes me feel less weird and random ;P I do it with other stuff too, like plays, or poems. It's weird.

Eh, I understand! While I don't have any desire to make vids, I'm like "hmm, this would make a GREAT songfic!". And then I don't write it...

OMG ME TOO. The poetry thing, I mean. And quotes. It's like a sickness, I can't stop collecting them in my head. It's probably from reading too much fic with great quote openers.

Dido's White Flag- Inuyasha. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. Actually, hold up, I think I do. I think I once read this super epic fanfic while that played in the background.

And I think A Perfect Circle's Weak and Powerless for the book Blood and Chocolate.

OH!!! And that same band's 3 Libras for HP (although, yeah, mostly for Draco/Hermione).
