In which my hand is multi-colored.

So, I'm cold constantly - I've been overly sensitive to cold for a few years now. However, only recently has it gotten worse. My hands and feet go numb, and it's painful and weird.

And while I've suspected Raynaud's for a little bit now, I wasn't really sure about it. Until today.

I think it's pretty safe to say I have Raynaud's. I managed to take that picture when I went in a store to buy wool socks because my toes keep going numb.

Weird, huh? The white finger basically felt dead. Like, it was completely numb. Not like the type of numb where you can still kinda feel it (like, for example, how a scar is numb, but only on the surface). No, this was like, DEAD numb. It's not like frostbite either. Just... weird.

Anyone else have it? Any tips for dealing? Apparently it likes to strike women in their early to mid 20's. I didn't have it before, but I have it now. Yay. (Honestly, I kinda find it cool, but I wish it didn't hurt/make my ridiculous cold all the time) I also have to go see my doctor, as it can be an early indicator of other nasty autoimmune stuff. BLAH. I hate going to the doctor.

Yeah that looks like Raynauds to me....but I would still go check it out. The best I can suggest to make yourself more comfortable is to make sure you are wearing gloves as much as you can-- especially in the freezer section of the supermarket.

Thanks for your super awesome medical opinion! I try not to self diagnose myself, because I KNOW I'll just get all psychosomatic. But I was pretty sure in this case. What with the multi-colored fingers, and all.

Yeah, I figured that's the best thing. I want to see a rheumatologist, just to make sure.

I have.... issues with gloves. Like, they don't keep my hands warm at all. I'm going to start carrying hand warmers though, so hopefully that will help! I do have a few from the GD/Big Bang concerts. They gave them out because it was SO cold.

BTW, I got your card the other day! We really do need to go on a kidnapping adventures! And of COURSE there will be pudding involved. Pudding is amazing. I have a bunch of it in my fridge right now. Also, yay! Kitties! ♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥

Girl I have a pack of handwarmers I got for like 5 dolla....theres like 12 of them in there. The are the only thing I can get to work to keep my hands warm when im outside with my wool lined mittens.
Oh and cause im a huge fricken frozen dork-- i have made myself fingertip-less gloves so i can type on my computer.

I have a bunch of the reusable kind, but most of the time can't be bothered to boil them. And I have a few of the non-reusable kinds now too. I'm actually looking into buying this, but I'm not sure how I feel about carrying around lighter fluid constantly.

Hahahaha! I'm usually okay typing on the computer, because my laptop has heating issues, so while it overheats, it warms my fingers! I'm making lemonade out of lemons, here.


I think because you were writing the card in the middle of the night, and pudding is clearly the thing to think about in the middle of the night. I know whenever I wake up in the middle of the night, the first thing I want is pudding.

Mine are all one time use jobs...but they stay warm for like 8 hours. Its awesome.. The one day after I came in side i sat them on my sinuses for heat there...worked pretty well actually.

My hands are always cold on the computer....even when its overheating a little...which reminds me i should probably clean the fan out on it...probably full of cat hair again.


You are probably right. The shit i think up when im at work at 2am is crazy.... Not as crazy as some of the crap i came up with when I was on those pain killers....Lord that was some funny stuff.

:o. You need to put some vaseline on your hands too. And then your gloves. Oh and those little things that make heat in your hands!
Don't drink coffee. But drink some small portions of alcohol during the day. It helps somehow.

I hope it will be allright. How cold is it over your place? :o
