Random stuff from Japanese shops!
Mar. 12th, 2009 01:51 amToday I wanted some bubble tea. So I decided to stop at the Japanese mini mall nearby where I work. Well, as it turned out, the bubble tea place was closed (they're NEVER open!), but I did pick up some other awesome stuff.
Awhile back I was HEAVILY into bento-ing. I have more bento supplies than I know what to do with. I totally don't do it anymore (I don't eat breakfast or lunch, so there's really no reason to do it), but I'm still fascinated by it. Naturally, when I stopped in the Japanese grocery, and saw bento supplies I freaked out and bought them.
( Bento stuffs! Probably only interesting to Lisa )
Also at the Japanese grocery they have a video store, but there's basically nothing subbed, so I don't bother with it. The store has other cool stuff; cosmetics, Japanese mini capsule toys, and magazine. I looked through the magazines, and while I didn't recognize a lot of the people, I saw two magazines with Arashi on them, one with Horikita Maki, one with Hayami Mocomichi, and one with Matsuda Shota. I felt awesome for knowing them. I also bought a 240g (8.5 oz) bottle of sesame seeds for only $3.50, which is insanely cheap. I pay like, $5 for a 28g (1 oz) bottle at the normal grocery store. And I use a LOT of sesame seeds.
ANYWAY, there's also a little Japanese giftshop there, and I went it, and came out with the following totally unnecessary (but SO CUTE) items.
( I'm a sucker for miniatures )
Lastly, at the store I bought some cell phone charms. Because I'm obsessed now that I can use them.
( CELL PHONE CHARMS!!!! )
I think I answered most comments. Yay! I'm getting email notifications again too, so no more being pissed off at hotmail.
I'm exhausted. I didn't watch BBF 19 again. But I did see two episodes of The Rose, so that's good. Episode 15 looks kinda boring though (introduction of a new girl who is NOT Hebe?!), so I might hold off on that one until the weekend.
Meh, I'm going to sleep now.
