uiscerosHoly Shit Mars! I LOVED that drama. Ridiculously, obscenely, intensely love it. The acting was phenomenal, the story/plot was strong, the characters were deep flawed people, it was so amazing all around. And thank God Ling didn't die. I thought he was going to, and had to read spoilers just to make sure. With american tv, the main character almost never dies, but that's not guaranteed in the Asian dramas. But seriously, it was fabulous. It would have been better if the video/sound grade was better, and the subs were better, but whatever. It still rocked.
I also finished the Akuma de Sourou manga. I've discovered that the drama (Devil Beside You) is like, almost exactly the same as the manga (there are some major differences, but it's pretty damn close, which is nice. In american tv/movies things are rarely translated well from books. It seems with Taiwanese dramas adapted from Japanese manga, they tend to keep the stories very close). Granted, instead of having typical Japanese things and customs, it substituted Taiwanese ones.
Whenever I finish watching a series I like to download the OST. I think my obsession with the OSTs started with Hana Kimi... currently I have most of them. But I can't, for the life of me, find the one for Why Why Love, and I REALLLY want it (Kingone sings one of the songs, and I love him! It was so fun seeing him in Mars!) (Yeah, I totally just found it. I'm awesome)
Speaking of, currently 21% of my music library is Asian music, with 63% of all my Asian music being Chinese (37% is Japanese). I like foreign music. I also have some french, danish, swedish, norwegian, english, german, and random others.
I should go out tonight. Get out of the house an all. I had other stuffs to say, but forget, of course.
It's kinda going to be weird to watch Meteor Garden now, where Vic and Barbie play Rui (Lei) and Tsukushi (Shan Cai)... mostly because they were a couple in Mars, but in MG they're in a love triangle, and Vic loses... so yeah. Odd. Course MG aired prior to Mars, so in Taiwan people viewed it the other way around!
Stupid iPod is taking forever to sync....
