I watched part 1 of second episode of Superstar Express (mysoju is only showing about half of the episode... I'm youtubing the rest currently... but as far as I can tell it hasn't been subbed. So yeah. Mandarin. Thankfully I know enough Mandarin so I'm not totally confused all the time). Still love it. It's super super cute. Honestly, I forget just how awesome twdramas are... It's nice to get back to them. Twdramas = my ultimate love!
I capped a little bit. Granted, these are screencaps from a streaming site, which means, in general, they suck. But they're better than nothing, ne?

This is from the opening credits. I LOVE how Jiro is looking at Rainie.
I love how Chinese names have such particular meaning. 俊男 means handsome man, and 默默 means silent. You don't get those blatant name meanings so often in English.
Hehe, I keep stopping the video so I can look at the Chinese subtitles!
I like how when Chu Chu's coworkers are ragging on Jun Nan, she's like "well, at least he's hot!"
ANNND more fanservice! Damn, Jiro! Wow. Lots and lots of wow.
GUITAR! JIRO PLAYING GUITAR! Gaaahhh! Mmmm vibrato....

I love this shot. It's lovely. Very Romeo and Juliet.
Oh, so cute! Jiro and Rainie are pretty good together!
I think this drama is really telling of the Taiwanese entertainment industry. They do freeze idols who they feel aren't popular enough, or whatnot. It happened to Chen Qiao En. And then she got all depressed and alcoholic, and whatnot. Interesting.
God, Ah Ben is an ass.
Aw, Jiro! So cute! Talking to himself in the mirror!
Hah, he calls her Ah Zhai! (House)

I actually took this cap to have a closer look at the chinese characters, but it was too cute to NOT post. And then I iconed it...
WHAT?! Um... WHAT?! Just... WHAT!!!!! What?! (Am ridiculously baffled)
(On the other hand, the lady playing the director is quite a good actress. I love her evil femme fatale-ness)
Nooo Jiro! Don't do it! (But at the same time... half naked Jiro? Yes please!)
Yay Jiro! Stick up for your morals!

It's really easy to forget that Jiro is REALLY good at intense scenes like this (see ISWAK), since he's so happy go lucky most of the time.
I love how Jun Nan is all concerned that he slept with Mo Mo! It's like a reversal of roles!

Shameless Jiro fangirling!!
GEORGE! So cute!
*snort* Jiro's on the bus!

You wanna know the best part? That's TOTALLY an ad for his previous drama, Rolling Love. See! It's also kind sad how I instantly recognized it. Taiwanese entertainment obsessed? What? Me? NOOOOOO... yes
Aw! Jiro saved her from the stupid bitchy bullies!

They're really cute together!
Well... this drama is being super good with the fanservice. George Hu wet and half naked? NICE.

George is awesome. I particularly love him, because; A) He rocked in Love at First Fight, and b) He's totally American.
GEORGE! I love that scene, she runs to him, and he runs to her, and they crash together. It was sweet, and lovely. I wish I knew the backstory already, why George is so intense about her.

George's angry!face.
Haha! I love when dramas are like "this isn't some drama!"... commentaries on dramas IN dramas are awesome.

Ewww! So gross! (Also... engrish!)

I want that super cute alarm clock!

OMG leopard print bikinis?! Jun Nan!
UPDATE: I watched this part in Mandarin. (Thanks to
vierran45, I now know I was watching the DVD version, which is uncut, and why I was missing parts. The tv version is on viikii as well, but I already watched it in Mandarin, and I'm suddenly really tired. So whatever, I'll watch it later.) I did a little capping, and didn't understand much of what was going on, so excuse my ignorance about this part of the episode.

Due to Jun Nan's leaving his underwear/stuff all over the bathroom (as well as leaving the toilet seat up, a mortal sin in a house of women), Mo Mo makes a really (really) long list of rules.

Jiro in a maid costume!

Jiro! Maid!
While watching these scenes, I kept thinking; This looks really familiar. I think I've seen Jiro in a maid's costume before. I was wrong.

It was a nurse costume. With a really short skirt. And stockings. With a garter belt. (From Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu, btw)

Jun Nan gets excited, as the poetry competition will, apparently, bring in a lot of news media.

Jun Nan's fantasy, involving him wearing a horrible blue ensemble quoting poetry to a reporter.

I didn't really understand this scene, but whatever. Have a cap!

Ohhh, ethnic diversity! Yay Taiwan! Also; BEER! I was wondering when there'd be beer. So far we're up to 5/9 of the twdramas cliches. The cliche level is medium-low right now (4 is the least I've ever seen a drama have; Love Contract). I'm still waiting for the token shot of the 101.

Yes Jiro. Beer.

Jun Nan is amazed by Mo Mo's mad english skillz! (Actually, I was impressed with Rainie. I've heard her speak english once before, but it was short. BTW, that poem is here. It's super long. I wonder if he's have to recite it all...)

Jiro is voicing the underlining theme to all twdramas. Totally not kidding. I have not seen a twdrama where there wasn't excessive drinking. It's in EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Pretty shot! He also weirdly reminds me of Zai Zai here.
So yes, super cute. I am highly enjoying it. But really, wtf is with Rainie's hair? I can't tell if it's a wig, or if they just kinda tucked her hair under, and made it appear short with added extensions. Twdramas are BIG hair offenders when it comes to unnecessary extensions. I see them ALL THE TIME.
