I waited a long time for the last episode of My Queen. First I wanted to wait until all parts were subbed. Then viikii wasn't working for me. So I finally watched it, and just, wow. I love that drama so much. It's freaking amazing.

Lucas is probably the most mature, adult drama hero I've ever seen. He does things for Wu Shuang so that she can be happy, even if they take her away from him. He cleared up the misunderstanding between her and Yun Hao, despite knowing that they would get back together. He's not perfect (too perfect is boring), but he's wonderful. Ethan is really a good actor. His confession scene was extremely powerful. I just wanted to hug him.

And Wu Shuang... my favorite drama heroine ever. Right now she's confused, and vulnerable. But she still has the balls to knock some sense into a restaurant manager for treating an employee unfairly. I want to be her so badly. I don't get why everyone hates her, if I were them, I'd be laying flowers at her feet and building a shrine.

I can't wait to see episode 13!!


I have SUCH a girlcrush on Cheryl Yang. She's beautiful. And Wu Shuang is a freaking goddess.



Don't cry Lucas! Wu Shuang will come to her senses sooner or later!

Btw, I don't know if anyone would know, but Wu Shuang calls her mother "ah bu", but the subtitles say 媽, which would be pronounced "ma". I've never heard this before, and it's confusing me. Is it just some random Taiwan thing I don't know about? Is it Taiwanese? Or maybe Hakka or Hokkien?

I also watched the second episode of Utahime. I like it a lot, but I'm not getting into it yet. Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 episodes for me to really get into a drama. Until that happens, things go relatively slowly.

But whatever. Nagase is beautiful, and I want to have his babies.

His english was amazingly cute, and actually pretty damn good considering. He actually knew the whole song, which was impressive.

WATCH IT!! It's so good. It's a good plot, and really good acting.

But the main point is; Wu Shuang (the heroine) is kickass, and Ethan Ruan is hot. The stuff that happens in the second episode is worth it alone (the bed scene, of which I describe here...)

Everyone keeps telling me that! I guess I have no choice but to continue :D

Utahime is one of the best dramas I've seen in a while. It takes a while to get going, but then it gets really good! I was actually watching it raw with a printout of the subs on the side, since my old computer couldn't use softsubs, it's that good :)! And Nagase... *dreamy sigh*

I do! I totally fell in love with him in My Boss My Hero. One of the few jdrama actors who's older and taller than me (so is Shun!)

He is really tall!! I like taller guys too! But it's pretty easy to be taller than me XD lol (5' 2"!) But I like if they are REALLY taller than me. Then I can feel short and small lol.

It think it's hard if you randomly hear a dialect and everyone in it is speaking it too. But if you heard another dialect against it, you might be able to tell the way they talk is different. Besides what words they use, there is usually a change in their tone. Like this dialect sounds rougher to me than the standard dialect.

(Finally getting around to old comments!)

Hehe, I'm relatively tall (5'8"), so it's rare for me to find Japanese guys who are taller than me! Not really a problem with tw-actors. I swear, they must have a heigh requirement, because I NEVER see a tw-actor who is less than 180cm tall.

The only think I can tell different is that in Utahime, I know they're speaking a different dialect because of how they say "but"... otherwise I have no clue!

Squee! LOVED Hotaru no Hikari! Though I wished they had spent more time on the romantic aspect of Hotaru and Takano's relationship. (Fun fact: i will forever call Fujiki Naohito Takano.... no clue why, but I never remember his name, so I always call him Takano)

Later on in the drama you will probably be able to tell the difference in the way he talks. I don't know if you finished this one yet or not! So I won't say why.

LOL Takano XD I think so too. Well actually I thought she should end up with Makoto! And when she didn't, the ending to the drama was just SO gay to me. Because if she didn't end up with Makoto she should at least end up with the her boss, but NOOO it was gay and he said like, support me when I find someone to love or something like that. Gah I didn't need them to embrace in a hot love scene, but I mean damn. At least hint that they would sometime SOON tell their feelings for each other LOL. But anyway I still really enjoyed the story as a whole.

BTW, I saw you had a Vampire Knight icon!?
Well it's pretty popular so I guess I could assume you'd watch/read it. But omg, I love that series XD Plus my favorite voice actor is in it and he's awesome!!

Normally I never had issues with dudes being shorter than me, but, *sigh*, Asia and their shorter than average for a white person heights...

I haven't finished it, but I did read spoilers. Is he really that much different?

Heh, whenever I see him in things, I'm always like "Hey! It's Takano!"... I loved her relationship with Makoto! They were so adorable, but ultimately didn't fit together in my mind. I thought she and Takano were great, but yeah, the ending was disappointing.

I LOVE Vampire Knight! I haven't read the manga yet, but I have watched the first, and most of the second seasons of the anime. Could you be talking about Miyano Mamoru? I've only heard him in VK and Skip Beat, but since I freaking love Zero, I have a tendancy to love him as well.

True! But it seems like the younger generations are just taller or something! My co-worker's husband is like 6 feet tall man XD! He's like a linebacker! And their sun is only 2 years old and he's already pretty big too!

I think not only the dialect he uses but also his tone of voice and way he carries himself is different. But maybe not, I dunno, when you see it, let me know XD

Whenever I see him I always think "Hey it's the guy from gyarusa! (gals circle)" XD He played a cowboy in that lmao Her and Makoto were soooo cute!*squee* I loved Makoto :3 (So maybe I was a BIIIIIT biased lol)

The manga is better (well I always think that of course LOL) so I do highly suggest for you to read it! Also the story is still going on in it. YES I love Miyano Mamoru! I think his voice is great, and he can sound different in many roles, plus he's cute to boot! (Although he's married and having a kid now! So cute!) I don't know if you saw Death Note anime but he plays Light in that one. He's also in host club anime as Tamaki, so when I was watching Death Note I kept thinking at times "man Light sounds like Tamaki" and lo and behold it was him. I think that's when I started to like him.

When I first was reading the manga I was realllly into Kaname! I love Zero a TON, but Kaname just was a little better. But recently I started to feel like, actually I feel so bad for Zero! And I started to feel like maybe his relationship between Yuki and him is actually stronger. I wonder what's going to happen. Also I LOVE Shiki and Rima together. They are adorable! <3

Thanks so much! I figured as much, but for some reason, there are NO Taiwanese - English dictionaries online. When I go to study Mandarin, I'm SO going to take Taiwanese classes as well. I hate not understanding the references.

It's fabulous. My favorite airing drama by far.
