uiscerosI have almost 200 screencaps from the first 4 episodes of Nodame Cantabile, and needed to do something with them!
I used to play in my middle school and high school orchestras (I played contrabass/double bass... you know, that huge string instrument). This drama is bringing back a LOT of memories for me. I miss playing... I wasn't terribly good (it's kinda hard to carry around a bass to practice), but I enjoyed it a lot.
So, MASSIVE PICSPAM!
I took this one because I loved the weird phrasing; "Who do you think I am!"... like a combo between "who do you think you are", and "do you know who I am"...

I LOVE Chiaki's look of horror upon waking up in Nodame's apartment. The trash! The clutter! It's like a nightmare!

Milch! I like how the Japanese pronounce German! Also, I am weirdly transfixed by his fake nose. I find myself staring at it whenever he's on screen. Hehehe, it's like 'white-face'! I kinda find it amusing that the Japanese think our defining characteristic is a large nose. It's interesting, really, how races are perceived.
Oh Eita... your hair... The only place I've seen him with normal(ish) hair was in the Densha Otoko movie.
I nearly died when I saw Masumi. I've only seen Koide Keisuke in one other thing (Anmistu Hime), and he DID NOT look like that! I barely recognized him! Masumi is the shit though, with the fro and the 70's clothes!

As far as I could tell in this scene, she was playing scales... but pretty well. Her fingering wasn't bad, though her bowing is a bit weird...

I don't think I really had the lung capacity either! Well normally I was ok, but when I took up oboe (double reed, which requires more forceful breath) I found it out. I was in a special one on one lesson. The teacher was always like "Breath through your nose! You need to breath through your nose!" and halfway through playing once I just got SUPER dizzy and all the music was going in circles in front of me lol. The instructor was like, you need to go back to class now. So I did XD. Eventually I decided to focus on vocal, so I quit concert band. But omg I loved that oboe instructor! He was French and super cool! And when he had to leave he gave me this little gold Eiffel Tower key chain, haha.
BTW, I'm like NOOB and don't understand what "shipping" means lol.

Oh, crazy! It wasn't so bad for me with trumpet (I just couldn't do the weird thing you needed to do to play)... Oh cool!! I wish my teachers has been awesome like that!
Shipping = "Relationshipping", meaning if I say I'm shipping Rui/Tsukushi, I was Rui and Tsukushi to get together. It might be a fanfic thing... I tend to assume that everyone always knows exactly what I'm talking about! I've been in fandom/fanfic for over 10 years now, it's my way of life now :D
