Ah! Flist spam, but I can't help it!

I am so in love with Paradise Kiss! I love Yukari so much. She's so not the typical anime heroine, and I love her for it. And OMG George. If George were real, I would hunt him down and kidnap him. I ADORE him. I love that he's based off a character in Velvet Goldmine (I was very obsessed with Velvet Goldmine during my post Moulin Rouge, Ewan McGregor-obsessed days), and I just love his personality. He's an asshole, but I like the assholes, remember?

It kinda reminds me of Dal Ja's Spring, in that 99% of the time it seemed like that drama was made for me. Seriously, they kept doing things that were exactly what I wanted to see or hear. Well, Paradise Kiss isn't that exact, but I swear, they somehow got a hold of a manual entitled "How to make Meredith a flaily fangirl"...

Anyway, I love Yukari and George's relationship. And I already know the ending is going to make me sad. But, eh! SO CUTE! (I also loved their sex scene! So. Much. Meta! It was hilarious)



*sigh* So good.

George is the lovable kind of asshole XD! There's some characters, that even though they are assholes, somehow they make you love them even if you try not to! I never watched the anime, I only read the manga. Sometimes I get afraid to watch anime, because I already have their voices picked out in my head lol. Good theme songs for the anime though! <3 Tommy

OMG I KNOW. I was soooo obsessed with him in 2001. I still have a huge Moulin Rouge poster in my closet.

I agree, George is just the right kind of asshole ;D I love him so much. He's totally going on my list of favorite anime/manga characters.

If it makes you feel any better, I ADORE their voices. They're chosen very well, IMO. Especially Yukari and George's. It's a bit different from the manga though (I'm about halfway through it). Less craziness. Yukari is a much more stoic character in the anime.

paradise kiss! i've wanted to read this manga for just the longest time, because i really liked NANA (they're by the same manga-ka), but i've never been able to get a hold of it. x_x
