New Big Bang Video

Truth be told, I've been kind of out of the fandom game for the past few weeks. Long depressing story that I won't bother with. Incidentally I haven't been paying attention to anything really. Even BB stuff has been pushed aside for more pressing RL matters (*gasp*). Shit happens, you know?
That being said, I was just instantly rocketed back into it. They released the MV for "Tell Me Goodbye" (which I hadn't even listened to prior to seeing the MV. I'm serious when I say I've been out of it).
I. Love. It. So. Much.
It's like, everything amazing packing into one. It's film noir. It's 1940's. It's muted colors, angsting, singing in the rain, detective agencies, and old fashion machine guns. And it features fashion I can wholeheartedly get behind (I do love haute couture, but give me a man in a clean simple suit over anything ever any day). They're even wearing gloves. GLOVES! I have a thing with gloves. They're even chilling in a graveyard. Does it surprise anyone that I also like hanging out in graveyards? (What? It's quiet.) The whole thing reminded me of The Maltese Falcon.
They all look so grown up now. That's a bit weird to say, but it's true. They look older (and hotter) now. Dae in his suit (OMG THE SUIT! It's my favorite thing any of them have ever worn ever. Double breasted grey with a crimson suit jacket... *drooooooooool*) is like, the best thing ever. And TOP's study is almost exactly how I imagine my ideal study (leather, masculine tones, etc), except without the dead deer head. I'm still liking TOP's hair...
And OMG BABY'S IN A CONFESSIONAL! (Except he's confessing to TOP) I love seeing random bits of Catholicism in things. I'm not the best Catholic in the world (what with my believing in divorce, gay marriage, abortion, and the like), but it's strongly tied to my identity. And I have to say, Young Bae's part reminded me strongly of The English Patient for reasons I can't quite explain (despite the obvious, being in a desert).
I think the most important point of my spazzing is; the video is set in the 1940's, and I so desperately wished I lived back then. I was very much born in the wrong period in time guys.
The last shot in the MV reminds me of a picture I took in Ireland. It's one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken.

Random other news -> I'll probably contact people about the Package Exchange early this week. I still have to hear back from a few of you, so I'm going to do it via email.
I also finished "Poison Study" by Maria Snyder, which was suggested to me by

vierran45 ages ago, but I just got around to. I finished it in a day (when I like a book, I soar through it, neglecting everything else in the world). And now I'm desperate for the second book. I'm going to look for it online, as I don't think I can wait until I get to the bookstore next.
