I just started reading a book, and as is custom for me, I read the first chapter, and then skipped to the end to see how things turn out (I do this with 90% of the books I read, I like to know the general conclusion prior to getting deep into the plot).

Well, I found out that at the end an pet is killed. I don't think I can read this book anymore, guys. I have such a strong reaction to animals dying in books/movies/tv/etc. Like, I bought "I Am Legend" awhile back, found out afterward that the dog died, and couldn't bear to watch it.

In fact, you know how I almost never cry during movies/tv shows (and yet I cry during advertisements...)? Well, when I was in middle school, we watched "Old Yeller" in class. I cried so hard. IN CLASS. And I swear I've never been the same after I read "Where the Red Fern Grows". I just can't handle stuff like that.

So the book... up in the air about it.
