I'm not desperate yet, but I AM craving spoilers. I sooo want to watch the last episode of Prince Turns to Frog... or at least read some summaries, but I promised myself I wouldn't, and damn it, I'm sticking to it!

Prince Turns to Frog is super super cute! I'm not as frantic about it as I was with Wish to See You Again, but I chalk that up to two factors; exhaustion, and PTtF doesn't have Zai Zai in it (though Ming Dao is plenty hot!).

I also have such a girl crush on Joe Chen! She's super super cute, and I just loved her in Fated to Love You, and I love her in PTtF! I want to be her! She's so pretty! I also want to be Michelle Chen, Ariel Lin, Barbie Xu, and Rainie Yang. And Terri Kwan, because she's just beautiful. As much as I so want to be a Taiwanese actress (more than I want to be an american actress), I would totally settle for being the token white girl. Seriously. As much as I've given up on the whole acting dream, it's still there. It never really goes away. It's what I've wanted to do my entire life. There was an article in the Boston Globe awhile back about a girl from Newton (town nearby) who became an actress in China (mainland). That would be awesome to do. Except, you know, Taiwan.... not mainland.

Oh, randomly speaking of mainland, I really want to go to Shanghai. It looks amazingly awesome and beautiful.

My mandarin is coming along... Random: Xiao and Qiao are pronounced pretty similarly. Obviously they have different sounds ("sh" vs "ch"), but when said fast they sound almost the same.

Also random: when I don't eat with chopsticks, I feel sad. I'm so used to them now. I think I hold mine in a weird american way, because all the Taiwanese hold theirs differently. Obviously I did not learn the Chinese method... though watching videos now, the Chinese method seems easier to do that what I'm currently doing. Granted, all my chopsticks are japanese style, which makes them shorter and more tapered... and harder to hold in the chinese style.

I want to find a good Chinese store. They have them in Boston, but meh, Boston.

EDIT: Random F4/JVKV related squee; OMG SQUEEEEEE!!! And I'm done. For now.

List of actresses you want to be: you picked all the best ones!!

*sigh* I don't want to act - know I'd never be good enough for that - but I DO want to write for dramas. Wonder how you do that? I know most of them are based on mangas unfortunately..:(

I want to see Shanghai too! Unhealthy obsession with all things Asian, that's me.

That would be awesome to write for dramas! A lot of them ARE based on mangas, but they do need to be adapted! For some reason, the Taiwanese entertainment industry seems very acessible to me... but yeah, I'm not sure how to do it either.

I don't have much of an interest in mainland, but yeah, Shanghai does seems ridiculously nice. Nicer than Taipei...

I know! Call me crazy, but I swear it seems accessible to me too - I mean how many people can be fighting over jobs/writing jobs in it, at least compared to Hollywood? then again, maybe we're just delusional.

I agree! Hollywood is so huge compared to Taiwan... it often seems like they just pick random people to play things (*cough* Zai Zai *cough*)...

hehehe. SOMEONE wants to star opposite Vic Zhou.
I'll let you, if I can write for him. I'll write the drama, you star in it, mmkay?

anything as long as I get to stare at him a lot from close quarters...

..... I don't deny that!!
Sounds like a plan! Now... just to learn Mandarin, and somehow get over to Taiwan...

I know!! I'm currently learning French, but I REALLY want to do Mandarin as well, I just don't have time...are you taking an actual class, or self-tutoring?

Self Tutoring. I'm learning Japanese at the same time. Well, actually, I started learning japanese first, but then I got all into twdrama, so I started learning Mandarin... Luckily the characters are basically the same, so at least there's SOME transferance.

and god I'm SO crazy about wtsya. Literally checking every day to see if they've subbed the rest yet, even though I know they haven't. :(

God I know! I check it like every single day too! I know I shouldn't be all impatient, and that the subbers are doing it out of the goodness of theuir hearts, and such.... but man, I really want to finish it!

eeeeeh. it's KILLING me, having to wait for it! haha every time I check now I will take comfort from imagining you checking it too. :) Do you check the actual source, Eternal Fansubs, or one of the drama sites they've been uploading to? I asked EF(politely!) for a tentative timeline for when they'd be subbing more and got back a snarky comment about extending some patience and RL is more important than subbing etc. and THEn they said they wouldn't be subbing more until the end of September. :(

I still check every day out of hope though.

Yeah, I check the EF site. It seems like they'd update there before they updated to d-addicts, etc.

I hate it when subbers are like that! I mean, I know they're busy, and they don't HAVE to do it, but jeez, if someone isn't being mean, then they shouldn't be either!

Meh! End of September!! *sigh*... I've tried watching it without subs, but my small knowledge of Mandarin is in no way good enough to make it worthwhile. I'll probably still check everyday too...

hehe, I've watched a bit without subs too, but gave up cause it was killing me. It's like, a promise of the deliciousness to come w/o the actual deliciousness.

*sigh*
