Why I shouldn't be allowed near makeup stores

Sooooo... I have a problem. And the problem's name is Etude House.

I'm a bit obsessed. I've actually been wanting their makeup for awhile, even before 2NE1 advertised for them. And I had heard of the Miss Tangerine line before I got to Korea. It looked cute, and I do like me some orange, so I decided to check it out.

A lot of it is free samples. Not ALL of it. But a lot of it.

The thing is, I can barely contain my cosmetics purchasing normally. When you figure in that - a: this is sold ONLY in Asia, and b: the Miss Tangerine line is limited edition... well, then I have a problem.

YEAH. Like, half the reason I love going there so much is all the free shit I get. I GOT A TRAVEL MAKEUP CASE TODAY. And it's not shitty either, it's REALLY cute. They keep giving me shit, and I keep going back there. It's a horrible, horrible cycle of spending money and getting samples. *sigh*

Also, a disclaimer. (This is not because of anyone else, it's because of me.)
Regarding Japan - I sort of feel shitty posting about other stuff when there was such a great tragedy. But at the same time, it's better to think about happier things. I found out around 2 hours after the earthquake. It was around 3:30pm Taiwan time. I heard that there had been a horrible tsunami, and that it was probably going to hit Taiwan around 5:30pm. So for two hours I was scared. I've never been in that situation before, and I didn't know what to make of it (we don't get natural disasters where I live - the worst we get are the occasional blizzard, but that's it). Plus, I was just SAD. All the pictures and videos coming in from Japan were heartbreaking. I watched the news for HOURS, trying to find out if Taiwan was going to be hit, and then how bad it was hit. I wasn't scared for me, really. I was scared for Taiwan. I love Taiwan. So so so much. I didn't want to see a disaster happen here too. Luckily Taiwan was spared. Unfortunately Japan wasn't. So yes, I am posting about silly stuff, but after being in a state of sadness and anxiety for quite a long time I'm cool with being silly.

Oh my goodness, what a racy commercial (for Korea)! But yes, THAT Etude House. Park Shin Hye is one of their spokespeople. She (and Lee Min Ho, which never ceases to amuse me) are plastered all over the stores.

I've actually never used them before! Well, at least not these kind (the ones that are like, cloth). We don't really have those in the US. At least not that I've ever seen. But yeah, I'm pretty much the same way. I always buy stuff planning ~relaxing evenings~ and never actually do them.

Lee Min Ho? Bwahahaha, I am sorry but I am still watching BoF (yes.. I know. I took a break in the middle and I am still busy with uni work.) and have already downloaded Personal Taste because of his lovely face but seriously, he is the last person I imagine doing a makeup endorsement. ^^;

I love facial masks! The ones that peel off are funny but I also like the ones you just slick onto yourself - I usually only get to use them when I am around my sister in Germany, not that I'd be embarrassed but I just can't be bothered to put up with my landlords "funny" comments (I've still got some leftover from Christmas).

You too? You know (sorry for not commenting ofter by the way) I never wear make-up. (I've never worn make-up.) Truthfully, I don't even know how to use it - but somehow I was swept away by the Miss Tangerine line, and went absolutely crazy on Gmarket. For the past few days I have been admiring (yes!) the pretty boxes the things came in, as well as the lovely colours and scents... but I still don't really know what to do with it, aside from admiring it. I had no clue to which colours to choose, so I just went with the most orange ones because they were the prettiest, or by their names... I suppose this makes me a sad and pitiful person. Anyway, what I wanted to say was yay for shopping, and I hope you have a great (and tsunami free) stay in Taiwan.

Wow, that is a lot! I recently (in the last two months or so) got into bb creams and bought 4 off ebay to try and fortunately I like all of them. The one makeup item I'm addicted to above all is blush - I DON'T KNOW WHY, I JUST CAN'T STOP BUYING BLUSH! After that it's nail polish and lipstick. I do have a lot of eyeshadow palettes as well but I never wear eyeshadow so that was a waste of money :P

No.2 Miss Peach something you would put over and seal your bb cream?

It's essentially a finishing powder. It mattifies your skin, reducing shininess and giving your skin an allover evenness. So, essentially, yes, it "seals" the BB cream.
