Two thirds of the way through the book after a marathon reading session last night. I don't read as much as I used to (blame dramas), but when I do it's totally hardcore. Book are totally my second favoritest thing ever on the planet (after animals).
After fininishing Mei-chan I'm all like "Oh God, whatever will I watch NOW?!", despite everything...
Also, I'm totally pissed at YesAsia/the mail. Well, not so much YesAsia, but since I ordered the stuff from them, it's inherently their fault to me.
Because I haven't gotten my packages that I ordered over a week ago yet. Like I've said, I'm really impatient. One of them should be here soon. The other hasn't even shipped yet (apparently they're having trouble finding my Two Sided Fahrenheit album). But that means I also don't get my Big Bang album, which makes me sad.
I placed another order the other day, in which I DID get the Jolin preorder (the one with the cushion...), several more Big Bang albums, and my first J-Pop album (though it's the Korean version, it was like, half the price of the Japanese version). Exciting. I wonder why the Hong Kong version of Jolin's album releases earlier than the Taiwan version. By like, a week.

I'm super excited for the album! Jolin looks amazing (but really, when does she not?), and the music is great. I am totally and completely in love with her new single, "Real Man". You can download the video care of
isabonita, or download the song from Asian Pop Attack (the link is in the second comment).
Also; one of the common Gokusen fanfic plots I hate with a burning passion: Girl suddenly transfers to Shirokin! A girl in an all boys school! The HORROR. Like that would EVER happen in real life (though it does randomly remind me of the last episode of Clarissa Explains It All, when Sam was accepted to an all girl's school that decided to go co-ed... That was a great show, I should download it sometime... I miss the 90's). And yes, I'm still geeking out over Gokusen fanfic. I think I've read most (if not all) the good shinkumi fanfic out there. I need MORE.

Date: 2009-03-25 02:52 pm (UTC)Thankfully downloads are just as good! I mostly download, but for some things I want the album. I'm okay with spending money on that, since I spend so little elsewise.

Date: 2009-04-01 08:00 pm (UTC)I really liked the third book the best! I think my favorites are 1 and 3. The second one was good, but I didn't like the last one much (I won't spoil it, but it's a little ridiculous).

Date: 2009-03-26 01:21 am (UTC)I think if I wrote Gokusen fic, I would make Yankumi into a Mary Sue. I mean, teacher/student has been one of my personal fantasies for YEARS. (Though the older I get, the creepier it is. It wasn't so bad when I was like 19 or 20... But I'm too young to be a professor, and a Me/College Student relationship wouldn't be taboo enough to be interesting. Though still, if I dated a freshman, he'd be 18!! That's crazy! ...it freaks me out that people born in the 90s are so old now.)
Clarissaaaaaaaaa (Mindless Self Indulgence have a song "about" the show; it mentions Ferguson!). I think I shipped Sam and Clarissa..
I used to read a shitload, then we got the internet.. I still feel better reading actual books, but I do read a lot of informative stuff on the internet, so I don't feel too bad about not reading books. (Informative stuff=Wikipedia, language stuff, etc). I tried keeping book lists starting in 2006, but I never finished for 2007 and then I graduated so I stopped HAVING to read.. But in 2006, I read a total of 21 books. Actually, only 8 of them were for school, so that's not really all that bad. That was when I had a lot of time to kill while waiting in the school library.
Hehe, in 2007 I read four anti-Bush/Republican books!
Even if I don't read often, I should keep a book list.. It's fun to look back and see what I read!
