OMG yay.

I just finished the first episodes of both Triple and One Pound Gospel, and they are both made of win, and I love them. I seriously need a new twdrama to keep my occupied... maybe I'll watch Queen's or something... *goes off to download Queen's*

Anyway, Triple is awesome and awesome plus more awesome piled on top. I know I love it already. It DOES kinda remind me of Coffee Prince, but only in how the characters interact. It's distinctive otherwise, and just really good. I can't wait for the fakecest to get started!

And One Pound Gospel... oh Kame, he's so adorable. Almost every single thing he does is just too cute for words. I love him loving on a nun, because if THAT isn't forbidden love, than I don't know what is! AND I've already recognized a TON of actors, which makes me happy, because I have a thing for actors. I spent a LONG time trying to figure out where I knew Namioka Kazuki from. Turns out I know him from many places, but primarily TattaKoi.

Random, but please tell me why there are no Gokusen movie spoilers around yet?! I've been searching like mad for the past two days, and NOTHING. I NEEEEED to know if MatsuJun makes an appearance. Why, spoilers?! WHY?!

Anyway, it's late, and I have to sleep so I can wake up nice and early to go to the stupid gym. And then clean. FUN TIMES.

Also, why are a bunch of people I knew in high school and college having babies?! THAT is freaky to me.

How did they not solve the UST in the Kurosagi movie?! Why did they waste that chance? WHY?!!!!?! Tsurara telling Kurosaki that he'll never be alone... way to rip my heart out there.

Also, the Gokusen movie comes out really soon (11Jul09 in Japan, so, effectively 10Jul09 here)! I'm dying to see if MatsuJun made an appearance. I think I'll cry if he doesn't. GOKUSEN IS NOT GOKUSEN WITHOUT SAWADA SHIN. Plain and simple.

The rest of the Big Bang Arena photoshoot pictures have been released, and OMG I LOOOVE them! I loved GD's first pic, but the second is even better! And TOP is too damn hot for his own good...

Yes, I've taken to using Korean honorifics occasionally. I also use the Japanese honorifics sometimes. It depends on who I'm talking about... Like I have extreme fannish love for GD and TOP, but I can't exactly call them "oppa" like most fangirls can... I'm older than them. And I call Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma, Shun-kun and Toma-kun respectively (it's valid, I am emotionally attached to both of them :D). I'm glad Mandarin isn't as strict with the honorifics.

Anyway, moving on... Several shots have been released for TOP and Baby's drama/movie/thing 19. I love these shots, because they're obviously super over the top and hilarious. Especially Baby's...

Also randomly today I was desperately searching for and reading Hana Kimi fanfic. Specifically Mizuki / Nakatsu fic. Probably not a good idea to read slightly smutty boy - girl/boy/?? fic while at work... (I hope this won't be a long term fic yen. Like, I watched Gokusen back in December, and I STILL check ff.net every day for updates/new stories. More people need to write Shin/Yankumi Gokusen fic, damn it!

Two thirds of the way through the book after a marathon reading session last night. I don't read as much as I used to (blame dramas), but when I do it's totally hardcore. Book are totally my second favoritest thing ever on the planet (after animals).

I'm super excited for the album! Jolin looks amazing (but really, when does she not?), and the music is great. I am totally and completely in love with her new single, "Real Man". Also; one of the common Gokusen fanfic plots I hate with a burning passion: Girl suddenly transfers to Shirokin! A girl in an all boys school! The HORROR. Like that would EVER happen in real life (though it does randomly remind me of the last episode of Clarissa Explains It All, when Sam was accepted to an all girl's school that decided to go co-ed... That was a great show, I should download it sometime... I miss the 90's). And yes, I'm still geeking out over Gokusen fanfic. I think I've read most (if not all) the good shinkumi fanfic out there. I need MORE.

I started watching Formula 17 tonight. It's cute (OMG Tony Yang is adorable), but not nearly as good as Eternal Summer is.

I also found that Crystal Boys is not subbed anywhere. It's also really hard to find raws. I'm torrenting it right now, but only one person is seeding. I'm going to attempt to watch it sans subs. Should be interesting. Maybe my Mandarin will get better.

In other news, I think I've finished most of the good Gokusen fic on ff.net, mediaminer, aff.net, and the shinkumi lj com. I NEED MORE!

OMG Hello My Teacher is even more Gokusen-esque than I thought! Bo Ri is totally saving Tae In from a gang! (BTW, the fake fighting in this show is HILARIOUS. I adore the punching sound effects)
( Random thoughts from episodes 4-7 )

We currently have AT LEAST two feet of snow on the ground, and last I checked, it was still snowing. *sigh*

I finished Gokusen 1, and holy crap did I love it! Seriously, I love it sooo much. The whole Shin x Yankumi thing was totally awesome. I mean, it is SO OBVIOUS he's in love with her, and it's all canon in the manga, so yeah. And at the end of episode 12 when he tells Shinohara, Tetsu, and Kashiwagi that he's competing with them for Yankumi!! SO CUTE!

But yeah, Other than squeeing over ships, I really did enjoy this series quite a bit. Kumiko is a really good female character. She's smart, capable, and totally kicks ass. But she's also silly, girly, and oblivious. She's just a real awesome, flawed character. The show itself is kinda ridiculous, but in a good way. A very good way.

I'm only about 20 minutes into the first episode of Green Forest, My Home, and I can already tell the love triangle is going to break my heart. The same thing, like in Bull Fighting, with the loyal friend who is in love with the girl, but she's in love with someone else... I might end up liking Leon Jay Williams more than Ethan Ruan, but that's unlikely.

Some other "fun" facts about Green Forest, My Home;
- Esther Liu oddly looks like Qiao En in this drama...
- Leon Jay William's character apparently speaks mostly english in the drama. That should be fun!
- All the characters have chinese adopted english names (Su Fei = Sophie, Su Shan = Susan, Wei Lian = William, Ou Wen = Owen, etc)... like Da Wei (David) from Prince Turns to Frog!!
- Leon Jay Williams randomly reminds me of Gong Yoo...
- It's kinda hilarious seeing Ethan and Esther together, since Esther reminds me a great deal of Qiao En, so I'm naturally getting flashbacks to Fated to Love You... hmm... I should rewatch that sometime.
- Ethan is speaking in english and it's hilarious! Actually, he's pretty damn good!
- Esther is good with english too!
- Hehehe, there really IS a lot of english in this drama! Everyone is speaking it!
- And holy crap! Ethan is "playing" violin! Mmmmm violin....

So far the drama is good, but it's confusing me. I understand the basics, but the details are confusing.... Oh well. I'll figure it out soon enough!

As I mentioned Friday, the power is out at my house (well, the power is out all across Massachusetts and New Hampshire (Note, in that CNN article, they randomly mention Westford, where I live...))

We've been staying at my sister's apartment, for the time being. It's been... chaotic, to say the least. In four rooms (and one bathroom) we have 8 people. Not to mention five cats, and my hamster...

But onto other news... I've been watching Gokusen (season 1), and reading two new series; Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, and Captive Hearts.

Gokusen is adorable, and Jun-kun has infinitely better hair in it than he did in HYD 1 (I honestly don't remember his hair in HYD 2, but I remember it was better than HYD 1 at least). I'm only on episode 4, so I can't really speak for the series yet, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

FYGK is really good. I never read FY, but I did watch the anime ages ago. Anyway, I'm quite enjoying the story, but am depressed that it ends sadly. I'm also heavily heavily amused that the male protagonist is kinda a hermaphrodite (key word, KINDA). I'm only up to volume 4.

Captive Heart(s) is cute too! I got interested for twe reasons; one of the characters speaks Mandarin in it, and the mangaka is the same lady who did Vampire Knight. So yeah.

I'm going to watch The Rose too (thank God for youtube in times like these... as much as I prefer downloads, streaming sites can be quite useful.
