uisceros: (My So Called Love)
I pulled another one of my "go for a nap, but end up sleeping for 12+ hours and waking up late for work" things.

So the dilemma; I'm almost finished with Dal Ja's Spring. My Queen is more than halfway done. So while things are winding down, I decided to make a list of stuff I've been thinking of starting/re-starting in the coming days.

My current actively watching list includes: Dal Ja's Spring, My Queen, and Black & White.

Dramas I'm thinking of starting/finishing soon )

Anyone have any other recs? The only spring drama I'm REALLY looking forward to (meaning I am willing to watch as it airs) is Good Health & Fortune. The others I'll wait on.

Only half an hour into Twenty Something Taipei, and I'm in love. The colors and the lights in the movie are quite good. It has some nice shots too.

But more than technicalities, I'm responding to the characters. It's hard to explain, since I'm only a bit into the movie, but I like them all.

And my girlcrush on Cheryl Yang is firmly in place. She's SO AWESOME.

The movie isn't really working in WMP Classic, so I'm using VLC, which for some reason screws up the quality. As such, my caps aren't great.

Another awesome thing; TST is a hkmovie, so you have the option of listening to it in Cantonese or Mandarin (though I'm PREEETY sure it was filmed in Mandarin. The two main actors are both Taiwanese. And I don't think Ehlo speaks Cantonese at all...) I chose Mandarin, of course. Cantonese confuses the hell out of me.

Random (mostly) unexplained picspam )

I'm probably going to go to sleep now, and finish the rest later.

Also, I STILL haven't watched BBF 23, 24, OR 25. So I won't be reading/commenting on posts about them until I do... God knows when. I haven't felt like watching stuff recently.

I'm only 5 minutes into The Seventh Day, but the Cantonese is really screwing me over. Sometimes it sounds close to Mandarin, and I get confused. Plus, you know, the writing is the same, so I keep looking at the Chinese subs, and thinking they're going to pronounce stuff in Mandarin (I do the same thing with Japanese kanji, I read them in Mandarin).

Doesn't help that occasionally they actually DO speak Mandarin.

I know Cantonese is supposed to be more melodic, and flow-ey, but it just sounds really strange to me. I like Mandarin better! :D

Other than the Cantonese (CAAANTONEEESE! *shakes fist*), I'm liking it a lot. This is my first HKDrama, and it's shaping up well. Plus, Kevin Cheng is Hoooooooooot. He looks a lot like Joseph Chang to me, which is nice in many many ways.

Hehehe! One of the characters started talking to another one, and she's like "Oh! You're Taiwanese?!"... That made me unreasonably happy. Yay Taiwan!
