I just spent the last hour or so looking at gifs of Jae Joong.

Dear God, help me... I don't need to be flaily about another boyband. I have already fufilled my boyband quota. I can't possibly get into another one.

But oh, how can I resist? (BLONDE)

How could ANYONE resist?

Still resisting?

Work? What work?
uisceros: (Mei-chan)
So you know how earlier I mentioned I was watching three jdramas?

Well, the first two are my Nagase dramas I spoke about earlier; Utahime and Tiger & Dragon. Those were planned.

The last, not so planned. And I'm so utterly lost to it it's not even funny. The drama I'm talking about; Mei-chan no Shitsuji.

I've heard (read?) people talking about it quite favorably for awhile, and so last night, after I read [livejournal.com profile] aliaspiral's post, I was like "hey, lets download it!" (to be fair, last night I also downloaded a ton of other stuff, so I really had no intention to watch it ASAP).

But I did watch it. And I haven't stopped watching it since. I'm on episode 6 now (I only have up to 8 subbed, I might get desperate and stream the last two episodes, but I hope not to. I'm quite enjoying TimeLesSubs releases. And they're SUCH good quality.

ANYWAY... I LOOOOOVE this show soooooo much! I mean, you have;

1. Eikura Nana and her legs (That girl is So. Damn. Adorable. And God, her legs! They will never cease to amaze me. Also she's all cutely taller than everyone else, and makes them look like little kids)
2. Mizushima Hiro and his hair being super super hot (His default setting. I doubt he could be anything BUT hot. But seriously, the only way he could have been hotter is if he stripped off his clothes, and then spoke english [because, have you heard Hiro-san's english?!])
3. Tanimura Mitsuki acting batshit crazy (so funny to see her in this after Cat Street!)
4. Mukai Osamu being sneakily evil WITH WHITE HAIR (I've had a major thing for Osamu since Honey and Clover, where he rocked glasses, and was so cute and dorky, and just Mmmmm....)
And like, a bunch of other awesome things including; lots of hot guys in suits, helicopters, a tiny adorable little girl, psychos, really rich people, and lots of cold bitches who gradually melt.

Seriously, it's SUCH a good drama.

*snort* Hiro's surprised face!

PICSPAM!! )

Oh! Speaking of; I was totally grossed out by the natto scene in one of the episodes. I don't think I'll ever try natto, I don't think I'd ever be able to get over the clumpy stringiness.

And the lady who plays Natsumi's mother is TOTALLY the lady who played Tsukushi's mom in HYD. I was watching, and I was like... "is that Tsukushi-chan's mom?"

Also, WHEN THE HELL did Oscar from Hana Kimi (Kyo Nobuo) get so goddamn hot?!

Seriously. WHEN?!
uisceros: (Yuuki and Zero)
Quote of the day; "He defeated him with the power of CROSSDRESSING!" I think I'm in love with the guy who is doing these commentaries on Weiss Kreuz episodes.

All this recent anime watching has reminded me just how much I need to finish Vampire Knight. I watched the first season, and I think I started the second season awhile ago, but then never finished.

So I watched the first episode of Vampire Knight Guilty (again) today, and wow, how much do I love Zero...

Please excuse me while I unabashedly fangirl Zero )

I know what happens; I've read a good portion of the manga, including the last chapters. I know that my OTP is not canon. But hey, at least I have some angsty gothic fakecest to tide me over. And I really DO love Kaname, just not as much as Zero. I blame the blonde.
uisceros: (Chae Kyung + Yul)
Gooooong!! Must you kill me with the double cuteness of a teddy bear museum AND Shin / Chae Gyung / Great Queen dancing about like idiots?! So cute, can't contain squeeing!

I'm not doing much of anything in the way of Goong stuff; since like, everyone has seen it already, writing reviews/reports is meaningless, and since I'm using Media Player Classic to watch it, I can't easily cap. (Though occasionally if I see a good shot, I will transfer over to VLC and cap it. So far most of my caps are of Yul, who I am irrevocably in love with, despite (or maybe, because of... Lord knows I have a thing for cunning bastards *cough* Draco *cough*) his sneakiness.

But oh noes! Yul! Why is your hair suddenly darker?! I can't obsess over the blonde anymore. Luckily, I still love you. (I love Shin too of course, but I definitely love Yul better right now. I think it's because I find Kim Jeong Hoon a little more attractive than Joo Ji Hoon (don't get me wrong, JJH is insanely attractive, but I think part of it is the blonde)).

Out of the screencaps I've taken in recent Goong episodes, half of them are of Yul. I'm totally in love with him. Seriously, the further the shows goes on, the more I love him (which I think is opposite of what's supposed to happen).

And so, I leave you tonight with a lovely picture of Yul.
How can I NOT love him?! )
uisceros: (Yoon Eun Hye)
I'm watching the 5th episode of Goong, and totally crying. Whenever Yoon Eun Hye cries, I cry too. I really like her a lot, she's a great actress.

In other news, I found a good image resizer and managed to resize all my caps from Anmitsu Hime SP and Gokusen 1 SP. So my reports should be up relatively soon. Yay!

Also;
Awesome religious imagery, Yul's mom! )

Also, I'm totally in love with Yul. I blame the blonde. Also, because he's totally Rui (except, you know, not?)...

Yul just said to Shin "You said you'd teach me how to play hitting the ball from the horse".... I assume he meant polo. Subtitle flaw, or is that really the literal translation in korean?

Holy shit, the shoe! *instantly is totally in love with Shin*

Damn you Goong! Episode 7 looks so good, but it's midnight, and I'm tired! Damn you for making the previews look so good! DAMN YOU!
uisceros: (Ken!)
Yeah, I was supposed to go to sleep, but then started watching Tropic Thunder (btw hilarious), and then somehow segued into watching the Koizora movie. I didn't really watch it, mostly just skipped around, but from what I can see, I like it a ton better than the drama.

Mostly because I actually LIKE Hiro. Miura Haruma is about 10 times hotter than Seto Koji (it's weird though, Haruma looks to be the older one, but he totally isn't. He's only 18!! I feel pervy), and his hair is a ton better (and we all know that not only am I a hair person, I'm intrinsically drawn to blonde hair on guys).

Aragaki Yui is okay, and definitely pretty, but she has nothing on Mizusawa Elena, who I swear is one of the prettiest people EVER. I'll watch the rest of it sometime. I'll also finish the drama at some point too...

Oh, and the ending, I would have been sobbing if I had watched the movie from the start.

And OMG I actually found a version of Marmalade Boy that doesn't make me want to jam things in my ears to STOP THE PAIN! That excites me to death! Marmalade Boy = one of my favorite anime/mangas OF ALL TIME. Though it's probably not very faithful to the manga... Like, Kei-kun isn't there at all (Kei-kun = the (mangaboy) love of my life). Still, it's exciting, because it's Marmalade Boy! And Ken! I adore Ken!
uisceros: (Zai Zai is teh hotness)
I mentioned how much I liked Boys Before Flowers... well I just read a recap of episode 2 (care of dramabeans), and it looks so awesome! The descriptions make me love Jun Pyo (Domyoji) sooo much. He's so stupid it's adorable!

Koizora )

I do plan on writing my thoughts on HYD Final tonight, but see, the notes I take are fairly interesting. I had the same issue when I did the Love Contract summaries. Trying to decipher them is always fun.

Some examples (verbatim);
"Akira = awesome, guns, & things blowing up!"
"in nevada, big ass trucker"
"hotel guy is hot"
"Hotel owner K is takano?"
" 'Bang!' "
"OMG D in hotel room...."
"Rui is adorable & tall"
"auctioneer sucks!"

Drama/Anime/Manga List update 07Jan09 )
uisceros: (Twdrama F4)
I hate watching dramas that are streamed. The quality is gross, and I always forget that they're not in VLC, and try to pause them using the space bar (yes, I know this works on online videos too, but I always somehow screw it up, and bad things happen).

I'm willing to suffer for Boys Before Flowers, though.

Observations;

episode 1 )
- Why do they always say "fighting!", it's cute and all, but WHY?!
- Mmm. Joon Pyo is hot. I approve.
- Oh God, Rui.
- The blonde, the violin, the white suit. I'm in love (again). Whether the character be Rui, Lei, or Ji Hoo... I'll always love him.
...and more )
- OMG Rui-gasm! Kim Hyun Joong totally IS acting like Shun-kun! It's weird... but I like it. And dear God is that boy fine. It's too bad he's 2 1/2 years younger than. Not that that's terribly weird. I wish I were 2 1/2 years younger than I am now. Mmmmm 22.
- Ginger has an amusing american accent when she speaks english. It's like she learned how to speak english by listening to "Valley Girl" over and over and over again (btw, that's a Zappa reference, not the Nic Cage film)
...and even more )
- HAHAHA Domyoji! I love him so much! He's so scary at first, but he's a total dork!
- Jan Di is super awesome. They just egged and floured her, and she's thinking of the pancakes those eggs and flour could have made.
...and yet some more )

Well that ended rather abruptly... Are they really airing it every night? Oh, no, only Monday and Tuesday. That's kinda a weird schedule. Whatever.

So yes, I highly enjoyed it (as if I WOULDN'T enjoy it).
summary of my thoughts )

You know, I can't seem to remember Meteor Garden all that well. Either that, or I'm getting it REALLY confused with HYD...a rewatch is needed.

*sigh* Exhausted. I stay up too late watching dramas. It's supposed to snow a fair amount tonight, and God I hope I don't have work tomorrow *wishes*!

And I know I said I was going to post my HYD Final review today, unfortunately I forgot my work computer at my house, so I couldn't type it up during the day. Sooo it'll be later on. Soon though.
uisceros: (Ella! *loves!*)
Today, outside of my workplace, there are protestors. No shit. I work for a pharmecutical company, so it's not like it's unheard of, but it's still pretty funny. They have a gigantic blow up rat... I'm not sure what they're protesting, but if they're against animal testing, I might as well join them out there. I HATE working for a company that tests on animals (granted, we're probably one of the lesser offenders). Vivisection is one of, if not the things I hate most in the world. I hate it less when it's done for medical reasons, but I still hate it. Regardless, it's kinda funny to see them. I want to take pictures, and might if given the chance.

I started two new dramas last night. First off, Boys Before Flowers. It's actually not subbed yet, so I just watched a good portion of it just in Korean. It was... educational. The opening was interesting, with a dude getting harassed, and about to commit suicide by jumping off a roof (Kinda sterotypically Korean, huh? I've heard the Korean jumping off the roof thing from other Asian sources...), and then "Tsukushi" saving him. From what I can tell, I'm really going to like the Tsukushi character.

Dramabeans wrote a review that the guy who plays "Rui" was kinda just imitating Oguri Shun, which upon first glance, yeah, he really does look like he's acting like him. He has the same blond hair/hairstyle, the same voilin thing, and he's even wearing all white. I only saw one scene with him, but it was kinda jarring. And "Domyoji's" entrance really was pretty cool. His hair is also a lot better than either Jerry or Jun's were.

I also started watching a jdrama, Koizora, which I'm pretty sure [livejournal.com profile] sn0tcat told me about previously... I like it so far, but it's going to be sad. Luckily it's only 6 episodes, so the sadness won't be horrible prolonged. I don't actually find the main dude (Seto Koji) attractive at all, but I'm drawn to his blonde hair. What can I say... I'm easy. Mizusawa Elena, on the other hand, is one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen in my life (she's only 16!!!).
uisceros: (Jdrama F4)
I'm probably going to write my review of the HYD movie tomorrow (during work! Yay for slacking off!), and do the screencaps tomorrow night. I'm a little too tired for the full undertaking tonight.

That being said, three things;

1. I adore Rui with all my heart. He's one of the best characters ever, and is one of the only ones who can compete with Kei-kun for my heart (you know, if they existed). Seriously, ALL the Rui scenes made me inordinately happy. It also reminded me just how freaking much I love Oguri Shun. He was my first drama crush. I still blame the blonde..
2. That being said, Domyoji and Tsukushi are perfect together. More then perfect, they're destined. I always had difficulties with the manga and the dramas, because I love Rui so much, and naturally want him to be happy (in the anime this was never an issue. In fact, I didn't much like Rui in the anime... he ended up with Shizuka anyway). But despite all this, I can't deny that Domyoji and Tsukushi belong together.
3. It ended very nicely. It was not true to the manga ending at all, but whatever. I kinda don't care at this point. I like how they portrayed Soujiro and Yuuki at the ending. It was terribly cute. I felt bad for Rui though. Oh, that damn character breaks my heart. But I had to share this, because I thought it was an adorable ending, the last scene.

The last scene, the wedding picture, which transforms into a manga version. It's obviously drawn by Kamio Yoko too, which makes it all the more special. I nearly started crying when I saw it. It was perfect. The most amazing, perfect ending to an amazing story.

I can't satisfactorily convey just how happy this movie made me. I've had limited experience with japanese movies, and was previously disappointed (I'm looking at you, Lovely Complex), so to have this one exceed my expectations was fabulous. I'm significantly tougher on movies than I am on dramas (I think this is because I've studied film theory. If I were ever to get another bachelors degree, it would be in film studies), so yeah, just happiness all around!

Oh, speaking of, wiki just told me this; "Also, in one of the first volumes of Cat Street, Yoko Kamio admitted that she planned to start a sequel to Hana Yori Dango in the near future." I hope it's true. As much as I'd like to think that I'd be satisfied with things ending as they are, I want more, damn it. *greedy*

I bought the 100 userpic thing today. I currently have 55. 8 of those are of Ikuta Toma (more than of anyone else)... I'm not exactly sure why... I mean, I love him and everything, but I love Zai Zai more, and I only have 4 of him. Whatever.
